Since early 2024 only the GMAT Focus Edition is offered. It is fully digital, lasts just 2 hours 15 minutes and consists of three equally weighted sections. There is no Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) and no Sentence Correction; Data Sufficiency is now part of Data Insights.

All three sections contribute equally to the Total Score (205–805, in 10-point increments) – unlike before, when Integrated Reasoning was scored separately. New convenience features let you bookmark questions and edit up to three answers at the end of each section; you choose the section order.
Target scores: Leading programmes often expect a Total Score of around 645–705 (Focus Edition). Because the scale is new (205–805), old 200–800 scores do not map 1:1 – an old 700 corresponds to roughly a Focus score of 645.

Registration is online via mba.com. You may retake the GMAT after at least 16 days, up to 5 times per rolling 12-month period and 8 times in total. The fee includes score reports to up to 5 programmes; results are usually available within a few days.
